Sophie Meiers is a self-described "anti-pop star" who has hit us with her glittery, punky new track, ‘let me breathe’. Her vocal is unique in its tone, juxtaposing the propulsion of the synth bass that persists at the bottom of the texture. Explaining the track, she says: “the feeling of the real world around you obscuring as you lose yourself in your own thoughts. Overlapping voices become muffled. Eyes phase out of focus. You watch the people around you moving and interacting like actors on a set. There is an eerie sense of solitude among a crowd of people.
